Mommy Update

Thank you so much for all the encouragement, everybody!  Even though I turned off the comment feature, a bunch of you found ways to send me notes...thanks!  My "Aunt" even sent me flowers.  I feel so loved.  Thanks.

Over the past few weeks, I've really tried to do "something" each day.  We've had a playdate at the house, been to the gym's Tot-Drop twice (double bonus since babies get to play and Mommy gets to workout), Shoprite twice (don't get too excited, it was a "pick up one thing" type of trip...I'm not stupid brave enough for a major shopping trip), and we've even made it to Bible Study two weeks in a row!  Not to mention, we survived the snow storm of the season causing 2 consecutive snow days right before the weekend!

It's getting a little easier the more the babies are "used" to the rules.  The hand-holding in the parking lot hasn't been too bad.  Ava only gave me a mild fight going into the Tot Drop the first time.  Diapers have cooperated...and so has the weather (sort of).  I'm still not heading out with the gang in the rain...and I'm still not thinking about potty-training.  There are bound to be more bad days coming...but for now, I'm focused on the good days and positive milestones: The laundry's even caught up this week!

It's all about the baby steps Amy. You're doing great! I don't blame you for not going out when it's raining - even I do my best to not do that!

You are an amazing mom with wonderful kids! Mothering multiples is hard work!

Good job getting out with them! I'm still adjusting to that :) And yea for the new family dinner table! They feel like so much more of the family when we can all sit together. Of course at my house it's just utter chaos and there's no real talking or family bonding at dinner (Alyssa usually spends the time asking "can I be done NOOOWWW?") but at least we're trying right?!

I'm sure it goes much better at your house ;)

Hang in there. I know EXACTLY how you feel!! Some day you just want to throw your hands up plop them infront of the TV and QUIT but we somehow plough our way through it.

You are a GREAT Mom. As long as everyone is fed, happy and have relatively clean clothes on that day......IT's ALLLLL GOOD :o)
